Building the technology foundations of Madrid Surf Park
Hakaway is supporting Madrid Surf Park across infrastructure and solution design, owner representation, competitive procurement and deployment management.
Madrid Surf Park brings together sport, hospitality, leisure and high-capacity visitor operations in one destination. Its technology environment therefore has to support far more than the wave lagoon itself.
Hakaway is working with the owner on the design of the underlying infrastructure and technology solutions. The objective is to create a coordinated foundation for the systems needed across the venue, with the design, physical infrastructure and operational requirements developed as connected parts of the same programme.
As the owner's representative, Hakaway has also led the full request-for-proposal process for the relevant technology packages. This includes structuring requirements, coordinating bidder engagement and supporting evaluation so that commercial decisions remain connected to the technical and operational brief.
The assignment continues into deployment management. Our role is to follow delivery across suppliers and workstreams, manage interfaces and keep technology readiness visible as construction and operational preparations progress.
This end-to-end involvement gives the owner continuity from early design through procurement and implementation, helping a complex leisure destination move towards opening with a controlled and operationally focused technology programme.
